2025 - bad prospects for the hoodie!

To Be Discussed

Dear reader,

Has Mark Zuckerberg thrown himself into the dust in the face of Trumpism? Or is the abandonment of fact-checking the well-deserved end of left-liberal hegemony? And what has actually become of the cage fight between Zuckerberg and Musk? We leave the assessments to you, dear reader! But as brand people, we can't help but take a closer look at Zuckerberg's latest video, let's say with an anthropological perspective. Specifically, it's about his style. As we know, Zuckerberg was a pioneer of the tech CEO style, which was intended to express a spirit of innovation and non-conformity. From then on, tech CEOs from Silicon Valley mainly wore sneakers, T-shirts and hoodies. But Georg Simmel already knew that in fashion, the trends of prestige and imitation always come together: That's why soon it wasn't just CEOs of companies outside the Valley who were wearing sneakers and T-shirts, in fascinating places like Bonn, for example. But also everyone in middle management, because of course everyone wants to be very unconventional (although the T-shirts in Bonn are not, like Zuckerberg's, from Brunello Cucinelli). In any case, Zuckerberg wore another T-shirt with a chain over it in his last video: Message: look, I'm still the non-conformist tech revolutionary (and would just like to avoid all regulation of my platforms ...). What he also wore: A watch from Greubel Forsey, for which he easily shelled out a million dollars. Message: Take this, and: Fuck you! Our conclusion: Perhaps Germany's management elite should look for other style role models soon. In any case, the hoodie is finished. How about overlong red ties instead? Okay, forget it ...
